Tom Bradys transition from the NFL field to the analyst booth is turning out to be anything but smooth, marked by shocking media outbursts and tough events to deal with in his private life.
About 24 hours after Brady referred to Bills quarterback Josh Allen as a “spaz” while on the air, his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen, was revealed to be expecting a child with her new partner just a year after their 12-year marriage ended.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion’s highly anticipated move from the field to the broadcast booth has not met the warm welcome many expected. In 2022, the NFL icon secured a record-breaking 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports to serve as the networks lead football analyst even while still wrapping up his playing days.
His on-air presence this season has sparked more growing discontent among fans than compliments for his work online. Rather than receiving the in-depth insight fans anticipated from a legend of his caliber, Bradys analysis has been labeled as “shallow” with audiences finding his words to lack the depth expected of such a decorated NFL champion with 23 years of experience.

Frustrations with Brady’s analysis hit a new peak during Buffalos recent 31-10 win over Seattle on Sunday. Brady discussed Allens decision-making under center with a comment that many found offensive, calling him a spaz.
“Sometimes he plays like a spaz, like a grade-schooler on a sugar high, but now hes controlled the chaos,” said Brady. “Hes like a storm coming into town and you dont want that storm coming into this town.” NFL fans were taken back to the point where they questioned whether they had heard his word choice correctly. He was then criticized for his overall analysis work thus far.
One NFL fan wrote, “Tom Brady is terrible as an analyst. He constantly reminds us he played football. Yes Tom, we know.” Another fan replied, “Tom Brady brings nothing in the booth. He’s too slow to call out plays. No real insights. He’s not funny. Just vague platitudes and generic recycled comments. He’s like having ChatGPT in the booth, an approximation of an idea of an analyst.”
While facing scrutiny for the remark, Brady has now learned that Bundchen who shares two children with the retired QB is pregnant again, expecting her first baby with new partner Joaquim Valente. Bundchen began dating Valente, also her and her children’s jiu-jitsu instructor, in June of 2023. The Valente Brothers headquarters is located in North Miami Beach, Florida.
Brady and Bundchens divorce was reportedly a mutual decision after years of strain caused by Bradys career. When he initially announced his retirement, it appeared the couple would have a chance to focus on family life.
But Bradys reversal of that decision, choosing instead to play another season, reportedly was the breaking point.
