Kelly Andrew says she only realised her baby had turned blue after her pet Boston Terrier head-butted the nursery door open repeatedly to signal a problem.
A hero dog is being credited for saving a baby’s life after she had stopped breathing.
Mum Kelly Andrew said her young daughter wasn’t feeling well and their Boston Terrier Henry was determined to be by her side.
Kelly, an author, said her dog kept pushing the nursery door open with his head to look at the girl.
She tried to stop the terrier from entering the room as it woke the girl up every time – but he continued to head-butt the door open nonetheless, reports the DailyMail.
But on one occasion when Kelly went to shoo the dog out of the nursery she noticed her daughter had turned blue and alerted her husband, Jeff, and the couple rushed her to hospital.

The mum-of-two, , from Boston,, US, wrote on Twitter : “Last night the dog kept breaking into the nursery and waking the baby. She’s been sick, and I was getting so fed up with him.
“Until she stopped breathing. We spent the night in the hospital. I don’t know what would have happened if he hadn’t woken her. We don’t deserve dogs.”
