Joe Rogan will be welcoming Donald Trump into his studio in Austin, Texas, for this Friday’s episode.

Previously adamant that he would never allow Trump on “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Rogan has shocked fans with his change of heart. This bombshell follows closely after Vice President Kamala Harris’ appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, which is second only to Rogan’s show in popularity.

Rogan’s earlier rejection of Trump was pronounced. He was repeatedly urged to feature Trump, particularly during a memorable six-minute monologue from guest Patrick Bet-David. Nevertheless, Rogan made clear his staunch opposition to such a move.

He said: “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once – I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

He doubled down, labelling Trump an “existential threat to democracy”. But when it comes to the electoral showdown between Trump and Biden, Rogan didn’t back the Democratic nominee. Ahead of the 2020 election, he declared a preference for Trump over Biden if forced to choose between them.

Rogan candidly expressed his political stance, stating: “I’d rather vote for Trump than Biden. I don’t think he can handle anything. You’re relying entirely on his cabinet. If you want to talk about an individual leader who can communicate, he can’t do that.”

During a conversation with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy on the “Joe Rogan Experience” in January 2023, Rogan shared his thoughts on why Trump resonated with many voters, remarking: “And the morons had a king. There’s a lot of morons.

“And it doesn’t matter what he’s saying for them, he represents them… And it doesn’t matter what he’s saying, like for them, he represents them and he represents the ‘anti’ of the – and like, ‘He’s not perfect, but at least he’s real.’

“Like there’s that sort of thought process that he played with and also people that didn’t – they didn’t feel represented by someone who was ever in charge. And now this guy is and it’s their guy.”

Further adding to his critical assessments of American political figures, earlier this year Rogan accused both President Biden and former President Trump of being untrustworthy. He commented: “My biggest issue is Biden lies a lot… Trump speaks much clearer.

“He might be crazy. He might be a sociopath. It still doesn’t take away from the fact there’s something wrong with Biden. He makes up words. He stumbles through things. He doesn’t seem to know where he is half the time. That’s my problem with him.”
