Several members of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ family were involved in a car accident on Sunday, October 27, while en route to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, to watch the Cowboys take on the San Francisco 49ers. Despite the accident, all family members involved were able to attend the Sunday Night Football game.
Reports indicate that the car, carrying Jerry Jones Jr., Charlotte Jones, and her son, collided with a “rising barricade” near the stadium.
Jerry Jones Jr. serves as the Cowboys’ chief sales and marketing officer, while Charlotte Jones holds the position of brand officer for the team. Cowboys owner and CEO Jerry Jones was not in the vehicle at the time.
According to The Athletic’s Michael Silver, the family’s primary concern was that Charlotte Jones may have suffered a rib injury, while Jerry Jones Jr. might have sustained a head injury.
Medical personnel arrived at the scene to evaluate them, and the Cowboys later released a statement confirming that both were assessed by medical staff at Levi’s Stadium.
Fortunately, both were deemed well enough to proceed to the visiting owners’ suite to watch the game.

The Cowboys, however, faced a challenging night on the field, losing 30-24 to the 49ers. This defeat marked their fourth consecutive loss to San Francisco, dropping their record to 3-4 and placing them third in the NFC East behind the 6-2 Washington Commanders and the 5-2 Philadelphia Eagles.
As Dallas grapples with back-to-back losses, they’ll aim to bounce back in their Week 9 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on November 3 at 1 p.m. EST.
The Cowboys still have two divisional games remaining against both the Commanders and Eagles, but with a rough first half of the season and struggles on the defensive side, it will take a significant turnaround for Dallas to climb the NFC East standings.
