Stefon Diggs has initiated a legal battle against reality star Mia Jones, known as Mulan Hernandez, with a comprehensive lawsuit launched in Harris County, Texas, alleging a complex scheme of extortion and assault.
In the detailed six-count lawsuit, the 31-year-old free agent wide receiver accuses Jones of physical assault, specifically citing an incident where he was allegedly punched in the chest. Additionally, the suit claims he was threatened with a deadly weapon as part of a broader narrative fabricated by Jones to extort millions from him, according to reports from the Houston Chronicle.
The legal documents describe the duo’s interactions as “casual,” dating back to events leading up to a contentious episode on June 7, referenced extensively in the lawsuit. Diggs is seeking compensation for what he describes as “defendant misconduct and extensive property damage.”
Also implicated in the lawsuit is Brianna “Brii” Mack. The filing details that both Jones and Mack allegedly vandalized Diggs’ apartment and overstayed their welcome, refusing to vacate the premises.

The lawsuit further recounts an incident where Jones sought hospital treatment for nausea and vomiting after a night out, which she claims was lengthy and involved heavy partying. Despite these claims, she was discharged within an hour, having denied any physical abuse.
Jones reportedly sought medical attention again a week later, alleging she had been struck in the back of the head. However, Diggs’ attorney, Kent Schaffer, refuted these claims, stating that Jones had not encountered Diggs on the day she reported the alleged assault.
The legal claim also details an attack on Diggs himself, alleging that on the morning of June 7, Jones physically assaulted him, attempted to strike him in the head, and destroyed personal property, including a wristwatch valued at $130,000 and a PC gaming system.
Moreover, it is alleged that Jones and Mack tried to leverage these attacks into a financial extortion scheme against Diggs, with threats to tarnish his reputation if he did not comply with their demands for money.
Schaffer emphasized the gravity of these allegations, highlighting the ongoing threats aimed at undermining Diggs’ career as a catalyst for the lawsuit.
“There were threats coming from [Jones] that he had to pay her money or she was going to go public and ruin his career,” Schaffer told the Chronicle. “We’re at a point where these threats must be addressed. That’s why we decided to proceed with legal action. At some point, it just has to end.”
Diggs, who played with the Texans during the 2024 season, faced a significant setback after sustaining a season-ending ACL tear in October, limiting his season to just eight games. He is currently navigating his career as a free agent.
