Other Partners of Players Share Similar Incidents

In a social media post, Risner voiced her frustrations, explaining that the interactions went beyond normal fan behavior. Her comments have garnered attention as she detailed her experience.

Alongside Risner, other women connected to Vikings players also reported negative treatment. Sam Van Ginkel, wife of Miami Dolphins linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, shared similar feelings, calling it the worst game experience she had ever had. “I’ve honestly never been treated so poorly by another team’s fan base as I was on Sunday… the other 13 girls said the same thing,” she told Yahoo Sports.

Blake Cashman’s girlfriend also spoke out, saying she and others faced verbal abuse, including “wishing injuries on opposing players.”

These remarks have drawn attention to the behavior of certain fans during the high-pressure primetime clash between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. While these accounts highlight the negative experiences of those involved, they also emphasize the difficulties faced by players’ families during intense games.
