All it takes is one look for a person to fall in love.
For Mark, who already had dogs before, it was resolved: no more dogs. However, when his wife, Kay, brought an unexpected guest into their home one day, everything changed within minutes.
Weezy, then just a Basset Hound puppy, gave him the sweetest, most innocent look and changed his mind about dog ownership forever!
Now, to say that the two are inseparable is an understatement!
The Unexpected Love
Weezy walked into Kay and Mark’s life as a gift from their daughter. Knowing how her husband felt about having another dog, Kay was not sure how he was going to react.
But then, it happened!
The two established the first contact, and they were already in love with each other.
For some reason, she’s drawn to her dad more than anyone, even though her momma is the one who teaches her good manners among other things.
“She goes crazy when she sees him. He can be gone for an hour and come back in the door and it’s like the greatest thing that’s ever happened to her,” Kay said in her interview for Cuddle Buddies.
Weezy just loves to sneak into his lap, give him a nice, warm kiss, and then fall asleep on his body.
It is safe to say that the two officially formed the father-daughter bond, and they’re now closer than ever!
Her Dad Treats Her Like A Queen
One of the reasons why Weezy is more inclined to her dad is probably because he’s “the fun person” in the house. And, he definitely treats her like a queen.
“I had to train her. I had to tell her ‘No.’ And Mark got to do all the fun things and the easy things. He just treats her like a queen,” says Kay.
He wakes her up every morning, gives her food, and then does all of these fun activities with her. Weezy’s whole life revolves around her dad and their adventures, and she just loves it.
When they’re not intending to chase any adventures, the two simply get cozy on the couch and express love to each other.
Just seeing them bond like that is the most precious thing. And, even though Weezy is all about her dad, Kay doesn’t mind being excluded from time to time at all! Their bond is just too sweet to make her upset even a little.
“He picks her up and holds her in his arms, and he tells her that he loves her every day… She has a special relationship with him and I’m okay with that” Kay says.
Weezy and her dad are still going strong. They take walks and get coffee and delicious puppucinos, and he takes her for exciting rides in a doggo trailer. They get to meet all these new friends.
Mark and Weezy share the same personality. They’re both social butterflies and love spending time outside, which is one of the reasons why they are so amazing together.
