Prince William clears his calendar when Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are off from school — but still seems to sometimes scroll on his social media feeds!

On Oct. 27, the Prince of Wales, 42, sent a personal message on X to congratulate Billy Monger of Great Britain on his success at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. There, the 25-year-old former racing driver smashed the record for a double amputee with a finish time of 14:23:56.

“Well done Billy, inspirational effort. W,” Prince William wrote online from the official Prince and Princess of Wales handle he shares with Princess Kate.

The heir to the throne signed the note “W” to signal that the sentiment came directly from him, and he commented it on Monger’s celebratory message.

“14:23:56 – I can’t believe what just happened, World Championship Record Broken. I am offically an IRONMAN,” the triathlete wrote on X on Oct. 27, including emojis of a muscle arm, prosthetic leg and heart. “Let’s goooooo.”

Monger’s legs were amputated following a near-fatal car crash during an F4 race at Donington Park in Derby, England in 2017. He has since transitioned into broadcasting and has become a motivational speaker, which led to a royal encounter earlier this year!

In May, Monger posted an upbeat TikTok showing his day at Buckingham Palace for the Gold Award Celebration for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, where he met Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and gave a speech to award winners.

“What an unbelievable privilege it was to be asked to speak together at Buckingham palace on behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award 🙌🏼 A huge congrats to everyone for their amazing achievements! An unforgettable day 🇬🇧👑,” he wrote below the video.

Prince William sent the social media praise for Monger at the Ironman World Championship during the weekend of his children’s school break. It wasn’t his first sporty post on X during his children’s half-term break, either. On Oct. 22, he wrote, “Of course I was watching,” seemingly referring to Aston Villa’s winning soccer game the same day.

Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, are currently out of the classroom for an autumn break, and might be gearing up for a kid-favorite holiday — Halloween!

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ children will be off from the Lambrook School until early November, meaning that their time off overlaps with the spooky holiday.

While Great British Mag says that trick-or-treating isn’t as popular in the U.K. as it is in the United States, the Princess of Wales has previously led her kids in the tradition. Last year, Hello! reported that Princess Kate took her kids trick-or-treating in London in 2022, though the family might have some even more important plans on Oct. 31 this year.

On Oct. 30 and 31, the documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness will air in two parts on ITV in the U.K. The documentary directed by BAFTA winner Leo Burley follows the heir to the throne during the first year of his Homewards program from The Royal Foundation. The five-year, locally-led campaign in the U.K. was launched in June 2023 and endeavors to show that it’s possible to make homelessness “rare, brief and unrepeated.”

According to multiple outlets, the Prince of Wales opens up in the documentary about normalizing conversations about homelessness with his children, like his late mother, Princess Diana, did with him.

“I am probably already doing it on the school run,” Prince William reportedly said when asked about when he felt it would be the right time to discuss homelessness with his children. “The first few times I thought ‘Do I bring this up or should I wait to see if they notice?’ Sure enough, they did.”

Prince William: We Can End Homelessness airs on ITV on Oct. 30 and 31 and will air in the U.S. on Disney+ beginning on Nov. 1.
