Jake Paul is set to face off against Mike Tyson in a Texas showdown on Friday.
Paul, who started his career as a YouTuber, has transitioned into professional boxing over the past four years. He’s won 10 out of his 11 fights, with his only loss coming from Tommy Fury last year. His record is filled with victories over former MMA stars like Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. It’s yet to be seen how he’ll fare against Tyson, who at 58 hasn’t fought professionally for nearly two decades.
Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight world champion, hasn’t stepped into the ring since he retired mid-fight during his bout with Kevin McBride almost 20 years ago. As we gear up for fight night, here’s everything you need to know about the fight card for Tyson’s return…

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson
Originally planned for four months ago, Tyson and Paul are finally set to square off on Friday night in one of boxing’s most unusual rivalries. The idea of a fight between the two was first floated several years ago, but many in the sport didn’t think it would happen due to the 31-year age difference between the fighters. However, after Netflix expressed interest in entering the combat sports scene, Paul and Tyson were able to reach an agreement.
Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano
Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are set to face off once more, two years after their first electrifying bout became an instant classic. The initial fight saw Taylor emerge victorious at Madison Square Garden, with talks of an immediate rematch. However, negotiations fell through and the fighters went their separate ways, only to be reunited on the undercard for Paul vs. Tyson. The upcoming match will see Taylor’s four super-lightweight world titles up for grabs.
Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes
Whindersson Nunes, who has previously fought five times with two victories, was last defeated by My Mate Nate over a year ago. In facing India’s Neeraj Goyat this Friday, Nunes will be up against a far more seasoned opponent, whose past adversaries include former world title contender Jose Zepeda.

Mario Barrios vs. Abel Ramos
In another major event at the AT&T Stadium tonight, Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos will go head-to-head for the WBC welterweight world title. Mario Barrios claimed the interim champion title last year after defeating Yordenis Ugas, later defending his title against Fabian Andres Maidana. He was subsequently promoted to ‘full’ champion when Terence Crawford was named ‘champion in recess’. Abel Ramos, on the other hand, has won just one of his last three fights, a knockout victory over Juan Ramon Guzman.
Shadasia Green vs. Melinda Watpool
Paul’s boxing protege, Shadasia Green, is set to take on the undefeated Melinda Watpool for a second shot at a world title this Friday. Green previously lost her bid for a super-middleweight belt last year to Franchon Crews Dezurn but made a comeback with a victory over Natasha Spence this summer. Watpool, on the other hand, has triumphed in all seven of her fights, including a win against Spence.
Lucas Bahdi vs. Armando Casamonica
Lucas Bahdi, who remains undefeated, is currently enjoying a winning streak after his stunning upset against Jake Paul’s prodigy Ashton Sylve in July. He was initially scheduled to fight Corey Marksman this week, but an injury forced Marksman to withdraw, leading to Armando Casamonica stepping in. Casamonica boasts a record of 14 wins from 14 fights, with only three of his opponents being stopped.
Bruce Carrington vs. Dana Coolwell
Up-and-coming star Bruce Carrington will be looking to boost his growing reputation as he puts his unbeaten record to the test this Friday night. The featherweight has been tipped as a future world champion following a series of impressive performances, with eight stoppages from his 13 professional fights. His opponent, Dana Coolwell, has won 13 out of his 15 professional bouts, with his two losses coming against undefeated fighters.
